For more details  Children wearing glasses

Today most children have a positive view of glasses. However, some still refuse to wear them for practical or aesthetic reasons.

Is your child one of them ? Reassure them !
Explain to them that their glasses will relieve them and are good for their well-being : they will no longer be uncomfortable in their everyday life, especially at school.

  • At the optician’s, encourage them to ask all the questions on their mind so that they serenely accept wearing their new glasses.
When will they have to wear them ?
Will they be able to do sports ?
Do they worry their schoolmates will make fun of them ?
  • Show them that today glasses can be nice and "fashionable".
Give them the example of their favourite stars or heroes (do not forget Harry Potter !) who also wear them without being the laughing stock or being put at a disadvantage. On the contrary, wearing glasses can even be an asset: everybody does not wear them !

  • Finally, from the age of 6 onwards, listen to his choice for the frames and the case.
